meet billy & rory
simswear started with one simple idea: make great clothes that last. No gimmicks, no cutting corners - just proper British-made knitwear using the finest natural fibres.
Billy was the guy who got fed up with so-called 'luxury' jumpers falling apart way too soon. So, instead of buying another, he went deep. He learned what really makes a jumper great - top tier fibre, expert yarn spinning, and a knitter who’s obsessed with quality. That journey led to simswear, and to this day, everything we do happens right here in the UK. From fibre carding and spinning to knitting, weaving, cutting, and sewing.
Not long after, Rory joined the party. Mates with Billy since uni, Rory was one of simswear’s first customers, quickly amassing a collection of jumpers he swore by. He saw the potential in what Billy was building and backed it all the way. Then, after a few drinks one night, Billy dropped the question and asked him to join as co-founder.
Easiest decision ever. Ditching the corporate world for a brand he believed in, Rory joined and the rest is history.
Fast fashion has people chasing trends and throwing out clothes after a few wears. We’re not about that. Simswear is here to make timeless, quality pieces that stick around.
We currently only use 100% Merino Lambswool. Over the few years we've been going, it's proved time and again that it's the best performing wool in the world: breathable, insulating, and anti-microbial, making our knitwear wearable year round.
We do things properly. That means choosing the right materials, working with skilled craftspeople, and designing pieces that never go out of style. It also means keeping things sustainable - not just through responsible manufacturing, but by making things well in the first place.
When you buy better, you buy less, and less is better for the rock we live on. When things wear down, we’ll repair them for free. Simple.

Why We Started
A few years ago, I (Billy) thought I'd found the perfect jumper. A classic navy cashmere crew neck from a premium British brand. It felt amazing, fit beautifully, and went with everything. But after a year? Seams split, elbows thinned, and it was game over.
I was gutted. And annoyed. I'd spent a lot of money on something that didn’t live up to my expectations. So I started digging. Turns out, quality knitwear relies on three things: the finest fibre, the best spinners, and the most skilled knitters. Sounds simple, but over the years, even the most respected brands have started cutting corners to save costs.
That’s why Simswear started - to bring proper British knitwear back. Made in the UK, using the finest natural fibres, and crafted to last. Because clothes should feel good, look great, and stay with you for years.
