Repair and reconditioning

A great jumper should last a lifetime. But life happens—moths get hungry, elbows wear thin, and sometimes, accidents happen. That doesn’t mean the end of the road for your knitwear. We see repairs as part of the journey. A badge of honour, not a failure.

That’s why we offer free repairs for all Simswear knitwear. No fuss, no stress—just send it back to us, and we’ll get to work. Whether it’s a hole that needs darning, a loose thread that needs securing, or an elbow that’s seen too much action, we’ll do our best to bring your knitwear back to life. We’ll also recondition it—de-pilling, washing, and making sure it returns to you in top shape.

Want to make your repair stand out? We can do that too. Let us know if you’d like a contrast stitch for a bit of personality, or we’ll keep it subtle if you’d rather your repair fly under the radar.

We hope you won’t need our service too soon, but when you do, we’re here.

How it works

Get in Touch – Fill out the repair request form on our website, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.

Send It Over – Pack up your jumper and send it to us. Make sure it’s clean before shipping—our repair team will thank you!

We Get to Work – Our team will assess, repair, and recondition your knitwear. If we can’t fix it, we’ll let you know and explore other options.

Back to You – Your repaired and refreshed knitwear will be sent back, ready for many more wears.

Repairs Terms & Conditions

We’ll always do our best to repair your Simswear knitwear, but there are a few ground rules:

One free repair per garment. We’re nice, but we’re not crazy. Additional repairs must be purchased. Small repairs £30. Large Repairs £60.

Categorise small / large repairs

Knitwear must be clean when sent for repair. We’re good, but we’re not laundromat good.

We cover most common repairs—holes, loose threads, worn elbows, and the odd moth nibble. If the damage is beyond reasonable repair, we’ll let you know and discuss options.

Moth damage? Pop your knitwear in the freezer for two weeks before sending it to us—this kills off any lingering larvae.

We’re not magicians. If a piece is beyond saving, we’ll be upfront about it.

Limitations: We can accept up to 2 garments per request, with a maximum of 6 repairs per customer per year.

Repairs typically take 3-4 weeks, but if we’re experiencing high demand, we’ll keep you updated.

We’ll match the yarn as closely as possible. If we can’t find an exact colour, we’ll get as close as we can (or add a contrast stitch if that’s your vibe).

Shipping: Customers must cover the shipping costs when sending us items to be repaired. We’ll cover the cost of returning your repaired knitwear to you within the UK. If you’re outside the UK, return shipping fees apply, as per our shipping policy {link}.

Should any dispute occur regarding the service or the terms and conditions, We’ll will make reasonable endeavours to resolve. However, our decision is final.
