This ultra-cosy chunky crew neck sweater is the ultimate in warmth, softness and comfort. We’ve taken our bestselling classic Merino Lambswool Jumper to the next level. A heavy weight knit provides that chunky feel, whilst the supremely soft pure merino lambswool gives the signature softness that Sims Wear jumpers have become synonymous with. This is the ultimate in cosy winter luxury.
Our Merino Lambswool yarn uses the first shearing to get the softest fibres possible. The wool is then dyed and spun by Todd & Duncan on the banks of Loch Leven, before being carefully knitted in Aberdeenshire.
Seam free whole garment crafting means this Blue Chunky Merino Lambswool Sweater is knitted as a tube in one single piece. This process creates considerably less waste material than traditional flat knitting and means there is less chance of dropped stitches.
All these elements tied together creates a special piece of knitwear which is made British, and built to last.
We’re running simswear preorders to keep things simple, transparent, and sustainable. When you order ahead, it helps us cover production costs up front, reduce waste, and manage cashflow.
Because we’re a small, independent brand, we don’t want to overproduce or hold excess stock. By supporting us early, you’re helping make limited runs of high-quality knitwear possible.
As a thank you for waiting, our preorder prices are between 15-20% less than our normal prices. It’s our way of showing appreciation for your trust, support, and patience.
After the preorder period ends on 5th may, prices will return to the standard price.
When you choose made to order, you're getting the exact same high-quality knitwear - just made especially for you, and at a lower price. Think: luxury, more value, less waste.
The only trade-off? You'll need to wait for our next production run for your piece to arrive. But hey, good things take time. Currently delivery is for late July/early August.
So why do we do it this way? Simple. We're on a mission to make exceptional knitwear more accessible, while cutting down on waste. This avoids overproduction and unnecessary stock and that saves us money. We pass those savings on to you. Win-win.
Worried it won’t fit? No stress. If we’ve got your size in stock, we’ll swap it. If not, we’ll make sure you’re included in the next production run.
